Outlook is awesomely crap. I really do hate it. It hangs all the time. It’s rules are rubbish and not very intuitive to set up. I can’t “edit as new” and it’s tagging/flagging is not very good as the flagged state of an email is not very apparent. It also irks me that it insists on SHOUTING it’s process name to me in the task manager “OUTLOOK.EXE”. Where are thou oh loveliest of loveliest thunderbird

I have to agree that outlook is bad.
But why exactly are you even using it? Please don’t say you’ve also moved over to the dark side and are using IE now too?
On the thunderbird note, I’m getting a bit irked by it these days. On vista it seems a just a bit slow and sluggy (could be openpgp extension but i’d prefer to blame vista)
I’m looking for a new mail client - any suggestions - something lite and fast.
ha ha ha m8, if you don’t like don’t use!!!! I use aol mail.
I don’t get a choice in work I’m afraid.
@Joel -try the mail client build into Opera, it looks pretty good.
Outlook, I have to agree, is a pile of excrement waiting to be trodden in. Thunderbird’s OK, but it’s not as nice as I wish it were. On the other hand, it rarely crashes and doesn’t do anything annoying.
Mail clients are due a good re-think, they’ve barely moved in terms of functionality or presentation since the first ones came out.
I don’t get your hate. Outlook 2007 is the best email/calendar/contacts app I’ve ever used.
