The newest version of Aggreg8 is version 0.0.1 and it is the first release. You can install/download it from the following :

• Install now from Redbrick Server: Install v 0.0.1 {49kb}
• Download XPI from Redbrick server: Download v 0.0.1 XPI {49kb} [right click save as..]
• Download Aggreg8.jar from Redbrick server: Download v 0.0.1 Jar {47kb} [right click save as..]
• Sample Subscriptions file {5kb} Save this file into the %Browser install directory%/chrome/aggreg8/content directory. Doing this will overwrite any feeds you have already set up.

Installation

Installing Aggreg8 is simple, while you are running your Mozilla browser (Mozilla or Firebird) click on one of the Install links above and the install script will run. Restart your browser and Aggreg8 will be installed. There is an installation guide to help you along when installing Aggreg8, It is very simple to install but you never know someone might have a problem installing. The installation guide will also give a step by step guide to installing Aggreg8 manually witout the aid of the install script.

Right you've installed it , now where is it ?

• Mozilla 1.0 -> 1.3: Aggreg8 is in Tools->Aggreg8 RSS Feed Aggregator and in chrome://aggreg8/content/aggreg8.xul
• Firebird: Aggreg8 is in chrome://aggreg8/content/aggreg8.xul

User Manual

A user manual is also available to those who need it. The user manual will describe in detail how to set up new categories and how to subscribe to feeds.

Documentation

As Aggreg8 is part of my final year project, it requires a heap of documentation that is not usually supplied with a mozilla add-ons (two of which are the installation guide and the user manual described above). An overview, and links to this documentation can be found on the main Documentation page.

Bugs

Of course I hope that there won't be any but it is inevitable with such a young project so if you find any bugs please note what actions led to the bug and submit it to Aggreg8's Bugzilla.

RSS Feeds

You've installed Aggreg8 and you don't know of any RSS feeds to subscribe to. Check out my RSS Feeds page. You can also check out weblogs.com and blo.gs . You'll find RSS feeds all over the web , usually they will have an or an image as the link to the rss. To get started why not create a category and subscribe to Aggreg8's RSS Feed.
